Remember, this condensed regular season is just 60 games and BOTH leagues will feature a designated hitter. Each team will play 10 games apiece against its division opponents for a total of 40 games.This should lead to a crazy September playoff race when you consider that under the current postseason format (since 2012), 82% of teams (197 of 240) were within five games of a playoff spot through their 35th game of the season. It should be a very exciting change from the tradition baseball point of view and at the end of the day we take what we can get in these crazy times!
