MLB Player Prop Bets for Thursday, July 7, 2022
We only had one play yesterday and it was a winner. Hopefully, we can keep that up as we focus mostly on strikeout props from pitchers. As many opportunities I see in other areas, maybe it is best to stay in one area before branching out to others. As always these bets are a work in progress, so temper the unit size. If you want full plays, get the package from BTB and Jesse.
Mike Minor under 4.5 Ks +120 (DK)
This one is probably closer than I'd like it to be, but Minor has six starts on the season. He's struck out less than five hitters in five of those six starts. In his last start, Minor went six innings against the Braves, a team that has the second-most strikeouts per game as a team, and he only got to three strikeouts. I'm taking his under against Pittsburgh, despite them having the third-most strikeouts per game.
Austin Gomber under 3.5 Ks +100
Gomber hasn't been a good pitcher, and even with his slightly improved road performance, I think we can sneak a win here. He is at 53% to the under 3.5 Ks on the season. Even if you remove the two non-starts, he is at 46% and we are getting even money odds for something, which is better than the -110. Oh, and he faced the Diamondbacks last week and only struck out two batters in 5.2 innings.
