Perez isn't exactly a strikeout pitcher, but he can rack them up from time to time. He's making his 20th start of the year tonight and he has gone to six or more strikeouts in eight of the 19 games he's started. That isn't 50%, obviously. However, tonight he faces the Angels a team that is dead last in the league for most strikeouts per game. He faced the Angels once this season and he struck out six batters in four innings. He's been allowed to pitch more innings lately. I like this play.
