MLB Player Props for Saturday, July 16, 2022

We cashed yesterday and BTB had a 4-play sweep, including yet another 2u winner. MLB package right now is absolutely crushing it. And, after a horrible start to these, I've made the necessary adjustments and seem to be doing better with what I'm looking for. Keep grinding and it'll work! Let's get to some plays for the start of the weekend.

Lance Lynn under 4.5 strikeouts +120 (DK)

Lynn is one of my favorite pitchers from the past few years. Not because I enjoy watching him pitch or anything, but because even when he was on Texas, he was a sneaky pick and I loved playing him to win games or keep his opponent under their team total. This year has been anything but special for Lynn, in fact, I've resorted to fading him in most spots, but that's irrelevant for this. Lynn has six starts under his belt and only half have gone over this K total for today. He's not pitching like he has the past few years. He faced the Twins two starts ago and only struck out five hitters. The Twins are not an easy team to rack up strikeouts against, and at plus money, I like the value.

Miles Mikolas over 4.5 strikeouts +115 (DK)

This was a winner the last time I gave it out and I like it here too. Mikolas has gone over this total in home starts in five of seven games. So, it is happening 72% of the time currently and it is still at plus money. Mikolas isn't exactly a strikeout pitcher, but the Reds are a strikeout team. We just cashed on Mikolas' peer last night, let's do it again today.

Spencer Howard under 3.5 strikeouts +120 (DK)

This guy really isn't a strikeout pitcher in my opinion. Somehow he has gone lower in each outing than he did in his first game against the Blue Jays. Against Toronto, he struck out five hitters, then the next outing four, three, two, and then one hitter in his last start against Oakland. The Mariners are closer to the bottom in strikeouts in the league than I would like for this, but Howard also only has two strikeouts against them in 12 Mariners at-bats against him. I think we are getting a good number here.

This is more than I really like in one day as these props are obviously very volatile. But, good luck no matter how you play it!
